Blockchain firm Ripple agreed to purchase Swiss-based crypto custody supplier Metaco in a cash-and-stock deal valued at $250 million.
The deal permits Ripple—which markets itself as a payments-focused crypto agency—to increase into the institutional crypto custody market.
Lausanne, Switzerland-based Metaco employs about 100 folks and on its web site counts conventional banks together with Citi and BNP Paribas as shoppers.
